Step-by-step explanation:

First lets add 3/4 and 3/5, to add these two fractions, we have to make the denominators of both the numbers same.

To make the denominators same, find the LCM of both the denominators, ie, LCM of 4 & 5.

To find LCM, lets prime factorise both these numbers,

4 = 2 x 2 = 2²

5 = 5 x 1

Now multiply the numbers,

LCM = 2² x 5

ie, 4 x 5 = 20.

So now lets make the denominators same,

To make the denominator of 3/4 to 20

lets multiply 3/4 with 5/5,

(NOTE: if you are multiplying the denominator, you have to multuply the numerator too with the same number.)

So, 3/4 x 5/5 = 15/20

Now lets make the denominator of 3/5 to 20,

3/5 x 4/4 = 12/20

Now lets add both the numbers,

12/20 + 15/20 = 27/20

Now lets add 1/2 to 27/20, By the same way lets find LCM and make the denominator same.

LCM of 2 and 20,

2 = 2 x 1

20 = 2 x 2 x 5 = 2² x 5

2 has the factor 2 and 5 has the factor 2², so we take 2² (biggest number).

So 2² x 5 = 4 x 5 = 20

1/2 x 10/10 = 10/20

Now, lets add both,

10/20 + 27/20 = 37/20
