Step-by-step explanation:

3/4 = 0.75

Since in 0.75 there are two significant figures we need to round it off to one

Therefore the answer is 0.8

Answer:

3/4 = 0.75

thus two significant figures

the uncertain digit is 5 so,

since 7 is an odd no. thus it is changed while rounding off to nearest significant figure. if the latter had been even then no change would have been done. eg: 0.85 is rounded to 0.8.

thus answer: 0.8

this looks weird than normal rounding and yes it is but significant figures is different from normal rounding so that is the reason.

hope it helps
