GUWAHATI
An explosion caused by a bomb went off at the Judges Field in Guwahati at ten in the morning yesterday, during the celebrations that were taking place for Republic Day. There have been no reported fatalities as a result of the explosion; however, ten people, including two children, have sustained serious injuries and have been taken to the GMCH for treatment. It has not been determined what the purpose of the bomb attack was; however, terrorist organizations are suspected of being behind it. Five people have been detained as suspects, and each of them will be questioned in depth in order to determine their motivations for carrying out the attack. Yesterday at three in the afternoon, the Chief Minister held a press conference where he addressed the people of the state and made a commitment to increase the level of security all around the state.
