For, an easier calculation, we will assume that the total cake is 1. Rest of the calculations will be done in normal arithmetic methods. (Multiplication is done because it is an inverse proportion, the increasing amount of total cake will decrease the value of the fraction.) Hence, ⅜th part of the cake is leftover
