 Given \: \frac{3}{4 (x-2) }= x-1

 \implies 3 = 4(x-2)(x-1)

 \implies 3 = 4(x^{2} - 3x + 2)

 \implies 3 = 4x^{2} - 12x + 8

 \implies 4x^{2} - 12x + 5 = 0

/* Splitting the middle term, we get

\implies 4x^{2} - 10x - 2x + 5 = 0

 \implies 2x( 2x - 5) - 1(2x - 5) = 0

 \implies (2x-5)(2x-1) = 0

 \implies (2x-5) = 0 \:Or \: (2x-1) = 0

 \implies 2x = 5 \:Or \: 2x= 1

 \implies x = \frac{5}{2}\:Or \: x= \frac{1}{2}

Or

/* If the problem is like below */

 Given \: \frac{3}{4} (x-2) = x-1

 \implies 3(x-2) = 4(x-1)

 \implies 3x - 6 = 4x - 4

 \implies -6 + 4 = 4x - 3x

 \implies -2 = x

Therefore.,

Answer:

3/4(x-2)=x-1

3/4x-3/2=x-1

Multiply both sides with 4

(3/4x-3/2)4=(x-1)4

Then we get

3x-6=4x-4

-6+4=4x-3x

-2=x

X=-2
