=(√3+√5)^2
=(3+5+2√5√3)
=(8 + 2√15)

so comparing the eqn we get values of a=8 and b= 2

Hey friend,
Here is the answer you were looking for:

Question: ( √3 + √5 ) ( √3 + √5 ) = a + b√15

Solution: ( √3 + √5 )^2 = a + b√15

=> (√3 )^2 + (√5)^2 + 2 × √3 × √5 = a + b√15

=> 3 + 5 + 2√15 = a + b√15

=> 8 + 2√15 = a + b√15
a = 8
b = 2

HOPE MY ANSWER WOULD BE HELPFUL TO YOU!!!
