Weight of toffees to be distributed among the children = 3.5kg

Weight of toffees to be given to each child = 0.5 kg

No. of children who get the toffees = 3.5kg ÷ 0.5

= 35/10 ÷ 5/10

= 35/10 × 10/5

= 7

Ans : 7 children will get the toffees.
