Given:

• Mass of Solute (NaOH) = 3.56 gm

• Volume of solution = 100 cm³

• Molar mass of NaOH = 40 gm/mL

To Calculate:

• Molarity of the solution.

Formula to be applied:

• Moles = given mass/ molar mass

• Molarity of solution = (Moles of Solute/ Volume Of solution) × 1000

Solution:

⇒ moles of NaOH = 3.56/40 = 0.89

⇒ Molarity of solution = (0.89/100) × 1000

⇒ Molarity of solution = 0.89 × 10

Molarity of solution = 8.9 M
