answer : option (1) 50

explanation : first of all, we should find equivalent of acid.

given, Normality = 0.4N

volume of acid solution = 100mL

we know, equivalents = normality × volume of solution in L

= 0.4N × (100/1000)L

= 0.4 × 0.1

= 0.04

hence, equivalents of acid = 0.04

To complete neutralisation

equivalents of base = equivalents of acid

or, weight of base/equivalent weight of base = 0.04

or, 2g/equivalent weight of base = 0.04

or, equivalent weight of base = 2/0.04 = 200/4 = 50

hence, option (1) is correct choice.
