On rationalising

( 3 + √7 / 3 - √7 ) × 3+√7 / 3+√7

(3+√7)^2 / 3^2 - (√7)^2

9 + 7 + 6√7 / 9-7

16 + 6√7 / 2

16/2. + 6√7/2

8 + 3√7

on comparing

a = 8

b = 3
