8-16 cells structure formed after fertilization

(a) Morula

Fertilization refers to fusion of sperm and ovum. It is followed by formation of zygote which further divides. Morula stage is achieved after cleavage after span of 3 days.

It is further followed by blastula formations after 9 days. After blastula formation, implantation occurs in uterus.

Blastula contains cells as well as fluid filled cavity. Fluid contains nutritions which are necessary for cellular development.
