Solution:-

Why reverse?

  • We have to multiply directly. We need not to reverse it.

 \frac{ - 3}{8} \times \frac{ - 7}{13} \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ = \frac{ - 3 \times - 7}{8 \times 3} \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ = \frac{21}{24} \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ = \frac{7}{8} \\ \\ \\ \\

Hope it helps uh!..❤

Hi there,

I think here reverse means reciprocal of the number which we will get after multiplying these two fractions.

So, here we go !!

Given,

  • Two fractions → -3/8 and -7/13

To do -

  • Find the product of the two fractions.
  • Reciprocal of the product

Step by step solution -

⟼ -3/8 × -7/13

⟼ 21/104ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤ[ ∴ (-) × (-) = (+) ]

Now, We've to find the reciprocal of the product.

Reciprocal of 21/104 is 104/21.
