3. A 0.1 H inductor and a 10Ω resistance connected in series to a 220 V, 50 Hz ac source. Calculate the current in the circuit.​

R = 10 ohm

f = 50 Hz

V = 220 V

We know

Z = ( (XL)^2 + (R)^2)^(1/2)

= ( (0.1)^2 + (10)^2)^(1/2)

= (200)^(1/2)

= 14.14 ohm

So current

I = v/z

= 220/14.14

= 15.56 C
