The relative speed of boat with respect to water against the current= 20/6 km per hour.

The relative speed of boat with respect to water along with water current = 18/4 km per hour.

Which implies x + y = 20/6 and x - y = 18/4

The speed of boat = 47/12 km per hour.

The speed of current = 7/12 km per hour.
