3.A car acquires a velocity of 36 km per hour in 10 minutes starting from rest.
Find (i) the acceleration, (ii) the average velocity, and (iii) the distance travelled in
this time.​

Here initial speed of car= u = 0

And final speed of car = v =36km/hr = 36000m/3600sec = 10m/sec

Time = 10 min = 10x60 sec = 600 s

Hence,

Acceleration = v-u/t =10m/s-0/600s = 10m/s/600s = 1/60 m/s²

Average velocity = u+v/2 =0+10/2 m/s = 5 m/s

Distance travelled =

S = ut + ½at² (where a is acceleration)

= 0 + ½x1/60x600²

= 1/120x360000

= 3000m

= 3Km
