Initial velocity = u = 20m/s

Final velocity = v = 40m/s

Distance = s = 60m

Acceleration = ?

According to 3rd law of motion

v²-u² = 2as

Replacing the values

40²-20²= 2*60*a

= 1600-400 = 120a

= 1200 = 120a

= a = 1200/120

= a = 10m/s²

so we know that

2as = v2- u2

2a(60) = 1600 - 400
