3. A circular cycle track has a circumference of 314m with AB as one of its
diameters . A cyclist travels from A to B along the circular path with a
velocity of constant magnitude 15.7 m/s. Find (a) the distance moved by
the cyclist. (b) the displacement of the cyclist if AB represents north-
south direction , with A towards north and B towards south.

given

A circular cycle track has a circumference of 314m with AB as one of its

diameters . A cyclist travels from A to B along the circular path with a

velocity of constant magnitude 15.7 m/s.

if he travel the distance between Avand B those are end points of diameter the distance travelled = 314m/2

=157m

now the displacement of his path is the length of diameter =2×(314÷(2×3.14))

= 100m

hope this helps you
