a) The time in seconds is equal to the hours multiplied by 3,600.

b) 1 hour = 3600 seconds

so, 2 hour = 2×3600= 7200 seconds

½ hour = 30 minutes

30 minutes = 1800

= 7200+1800 = 9000

Hence 2½ hours = 9000 seconds
