where,

n=order of diffraction

N=total number of ruling on the grating

15 cm of distance on  the surface of the grating has 6000 lines/cm      (2)

then we only have to find N

N=distance on the grating x lines/distance

now by substituting the values of equation 2 we get:

N= 15cm x 6000 lines/cm=90,000

now let's place  the values in equation 1,

resolving power=1 x 90,000=90,000

so, the correct option is (B).
