Given :- In ∆PQR, we have, PM = 15, PQ = 25, PR = 20, NR = 8 .

To Prove :- NM ll RQ .

Solution :-

→ PQ = 25

→ PM = 15

so,

→ MQ = 25 - 15 = 10 .

and,

→ PR = 20

→ NR = 8

so,

→ PN = 20 - 8 = 12 .

then,

→ PM / MQ = PN / NR

→ 15/10 = 12/8

→ 3/2 = 3/2 .

therefore, we can conclude that,

→ NM || RQ . { By converse of BPT , if a line divides any two sides of a triangle in the same ratio, then the line is parallel to the third side. }
