Answer:

25 m .

Step-by-step explanation:

Here , the man moves 20 m due west and then 15 m due North. So , his net displacement is due north - west . => AC = 25 m . Thus , he is 25 m far away from the starting point

Hope it helps

Given ❒

⟶ A men goes to west = 20 m

⟶ Then he goes to North = 15m

To Find

How far he's from The starting point.?

★ Solution ★

•First The person moves from A to B

•And the he moves from B to C

A ⟶ B

B ⟶ C

His distance from starting point.

Using Pythagoras Theorem

H² = P²+B²

⟶ (x)² = (AB)² + (BC)²

⟶ x² = (20)²+(15)²

⟶ x² = 400+225

⟶ x² = 625

⟶ x = √625

⟶ x = 25

The men is 25 m from the starting point.
