Let the son’s age be x

Man’s age = 4x

After 20 years

x+20

4x+20

The man will be twice as old as his son

2(x+20)=4x+20

2x+40=4x+20

2x-4x=20-40

-2x= -20

x= -20 divided by -2

x=10

Son = 10 years

Man = 40 years

Answer:

your answer.........

let the age of man be =4 x

let the age of his son be = x

after 20 years the man's age = 2(4x+20)

after 20 years his son' age = x + 20

ATQ

2 (4x+20) = x + 20

8x + 20 = x + 20

8x - x = 20 - 20

7x = 0

x = 7

the man's present age is = 4x = 4*7

= 28 yrs.

his son's present age = x = 7 yrs.
