Given Principal = 450.

Given rate of interest = 9/2%.

Given Time = 4 months = (4/12) years.

We know that Simple interest SI = PTR/100.

⇒ (450 * 4 * 9)/(100 * 2 * 12)

⇒ 16200/2400

⇒ 6.75.

Therefore, the simple interest = 6.75.
