3. A ray of light travelling in air is incident on a face of
a rectangular slab and comes out from the opposite
face. The angle between the incident ray and the
normal to the surface is 30°. What is the angle
between the ray coming out of the slab and the
normal to the face from which it comes out?

Answer:

60°

since it's a glass slab, parallel shift take place

so angle made by normal remains same i.e 30° so angle made

with slab is 90-30 = 60°
