3. A rectangular park is 60 m length and 30 m breadth. A path 2 m wide runs along inside the rectangular park. Find the area of the path.​

Breadth of the park = 30 m

Area of the park = 50×30

=1500m

Width of the path inside the park = 2m

Length of the park without path = 50−(2+2)=50−4=46m

Breadth of the park without path = 30−(2+2)=30−4=26m

Area of the park without the path = 46×26

=1196m

2

Area of the path = Area of park - Area of park without path

=1500−1196

=304m sq
