Solutions

Radius of Cake = 12 cm

Angle at center = 35°

Area of Sector =  \dfrac{{\theta}}{360}\times \pi\: r^{2}

Area of Sector =  \dfrac{{35}}{360}\times \pi\: (12)^{2}

Area of Sector =  \dfrac{{35}}{360}\times \pi\: 144

Area of Sector =  \dfrac{{5040}}{360}\times \pi

Area of Sector =  14 \pi\: cm^2

Consider your pi as 3.142 or 22/7

You will get final value

Given :-

A slice of cake has a radius of 12cm. It forms an angle of 35° at the center.

To Find :-

Area

Solution :-

we know that

Area = \theta/360 × πr²

Where

∅ = Angle made

r = Radius

Area = 35/360 × 22/7 × (12)²

Area = 35/360 × 22/7 × 144

Area = 7/72 × 22/7 × 144

Area = 22176/504

Area = 44 cm²

Hence

Area of one slice of cake is 44 cm²
