(3a^2+4a-5)+(2a^2+3a+7)

5a^2+7a+2

you can break is quadratic form

5a^2+7a+2

5a^2+5a+2a+2

5a(a+1)+2(a+1)

(5a+2) (a+1)

a=-2/5 or a=-1

I hope helpful for you
