3. A tablecover 5 mx 3 m, is spread on a meeting table. If 25 cm of the table cover
hanging all around the table, find the area of the table top

Length of table cover = 5m

Breadth of table cover = 3 m

As, 25cm = 0.25m table cover is hanging all around , so

Length of table top = 5- 2(.25)=4.5m

Breadth of table top = 3-2(0.25)=2.5m

now, area of table top =( 4.5*2.5 ) m^2

= 11.25m^2
