(a) If each day 25 m of the wall is built, how many days will it take to build the entire wall fence? ?

length of the wall, l = 10 m = 100 cm

Breadth of the wall, b = 42 m = 4200 cm

Height of the wall, h = 5 m = 500 cm

Volume of the wall = l × b × h = 100 cm × 4200 cm × 500 cm = 21000000 cm3

Dimension of the brick = 42 cm × 12 cm × 10cm

∴ Volume of each brick = 42 cm × 12cm × 10 cm = 5040 cm3

Let the number of bricks required be n.

n × Volume of each brick = Volume of the wall

therefore, n= vol of the wall/ vol of each brick

n= 21000000cm³/5040cm³

n= 4166.67

Thus, the number of brick required is 4166.67
