Answer:

Given the parallel sides a = 110 cm; b = 70 cm;

Height = 60 cm

Area of the trapezium = 1/2 x h x (a + b) sq. units

= 1/2 x 60 x (110 + 70) cm2 = 30 x 180 cm2 = 5400 cm2

For 1 cm2 cost of glass used = Rs 3 ∴ For 5400 cm2 cost of glass = Rs 5400 x 3 = Rs 16200

Cost of the glass used = Rs 16200

Given parallel sides a = 110 and b= 70

parralel = a*b =110*70= 1170

cover area= 3 per sq .cm

trapezium = 1/2 ( a+b)

=1/2 ( 110+70 )

1/2(180)

1 (90) =90

cost of the glass used to cover the window at the rate of Rs. 3 per sq.cm

90*3=270
