much area is enclosed if the same wire
is bent in the form of a rectangle of

Given : area of square is 144 cm^2

Let length of the side is a

Hence area = a^{2} \\= a^{2} = 144\\= a = \sqrt{144} \\= a = 12cm \\\\

Which implies perimeter of the square is 4*12 = 48 cm

Hence perimeter of the rectangle is 48 cm - 2*(length + Breadth)

                                                                          =2*(16  + breadth)

= 48 = 2*(16 + breadth)

= 24 = 16 + breadth

= breadth = 8 cm

Area of rectangle = length * breadth

             = 16 * 8

             = 128 Cm^2
