We arrived and we welcomed by our guide Rajesh. Rajesh was quick to point out that we were only allowed to climb to a certain point and then head back the following day.
The elders had made sure that we were accompanied by a shaman. His role was to keep away evil spirits.
We had been climbing the mountain for three days. We had been given stern warnings by the locals against climbing the sacred mountain. The locals had narrated stories of strange noises and lights from the mountain. Stories of alien abductions reigned supreme among the locals.The stories had only poured fuel to a raging fire.
Did the Stargate portal exist or was it just a myth? I had to find out for myself.
As we slowly scaled the mountain, I could hear my heart beating faster. Three days of climbing the mountain had left my whole body aching. I felt the need to rest but the quest for the Stargate portal gave me the strength to climb on.
