a) compact fluorescent lamp (CFL), also called compact fluorescent light.

b) MCB is more sensitive to current than the fuse. These miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) are automatic switches which open when the current flowing through them exceeds the value for which they have been set. It detects any abnormality in the current flow and automatically switches off the electrical circuit.
