Construct a ∆XYZ in which ∠XYZ = 70°, XY = 7.2 cm and YZ = 8.2 cm.

\dashrightarrow Steps :-

  • First, draw a line segment YZ of 8.2 cm.
  • Next, take a protractor and keep it's tip on the point Y and draw a ray measuring 70°.
  • Then, take a compass and measure it as 7.2 cm and keep it's tip on the point Y and draw an arc on the ray.
  • Join the point Z to the point where the arc and the ray meets. Name it as point X.
  • Finally, the triangle is constructed.

  • Ruler :- The ruler is used to draw the line segments of accurate measurements and also the drawn lines should be straight always.
