➤ Correct Question :-
Construct a ∆XYZ in which ∠XYZ = 70°, XY = 7.2 cm and YZ = 8.2 cm.
Steps :-
- First, draw a line segment YZ of 8.2 cm.
- Next, take a protractor and keep it's tip on the point Y and draw a ray measuring 70°.
- Then, take a compass and measure it as 7.2 cm and keep it's tip on the point Y and draw an arc on the ray.
- Join the point Z to the point where the arc and the ray meets. Name it as point X.
- Finally, the triangle is constructed.
Instruments used :-
- Ruler :- The ruler is used to draw the line segments of accurate measurements and also the drawn lines should be straight always.
- Protractor :- The protractor is used to draw the rays of accurate measurements of degrees. It's also used to measure the angles given.
- Compass :- The compass is used to draw the arc on the ray drawn by taking the measurements given in the question.
