and time is t1 and t2

20=S/t1 t1=S/20
30=S/t2 t2=S/30
now average speed will be = average distance/average time

v=s1+s2/t1+t2
=S+S/t1+t2
=2S/(S/20+S/30)
=2S/(5S/60)
=2S/(S/12)
=2/1/12
=2×12
=24
i.e. average speed is 24 km/h
