Given : AD and BC are equal perpendiculars to a line segment AB

TO prove : CD bisects AB

Proof : In △BOC and △AOD

∠OBC = ∠OAD = 90

BC = AD ( Given)

∠DOA = ∠BOC ( vertically opposite angle)

By AAS congruence △BOC ≅ △AOD

Thus, by CPCT OC = OD

HENCE, CD bisects AB
