Answer:

Let him have bought x kg fish from a farm.

During 1st week fish died= 1/8. of x kg. =x/8 k

Fish left =x-x/8=7x/8 kg.

During the next two week fish died = 3/5 of 7x/8=21x/40 kg.

Total fish died= x/8+21x/40=(5x+21x)/40=26x/40 or. 13x/20

Fraction of the original fish died in the three weeks=(13x/20)/x= 13/20 Answer

Answer:

29/40 is your answer

Step-by-step explanation:

the fishes died in first week = 1/8

the fishes died in the second week = 3/5

total number of fishes died = 1/8 + 3/5

l. c. m of 8 and 5 is 40

= 1×5 3 × 8

_____ + _____

40 40

= 5/40 + 24/40

= 29/40 fraction of fishes have died.
