3. Among two supplementary angles, the measure of the larger angle is 36° more than the
measure of the smaller. Find their measures.

Answer:

we can write

x + (x+ 36) = 180 degrees

2x + 36     = 180

 2x             = 180 - 36

 2x             = 144

   x              = 144/2

   x              =  72 degrees

Largest angle 36degree more than smallest angle

Largest angle = 72 + 36

                         = 102 degrees

Smallest angle = 72 degrees

90 degree is an angle which is equal to its supplement
