(3. An aquarium is in the form of a cuboid whose external measures are 70 cm x 28 cm x
35 cm. The base, side faces and back face are to be covered with coloured paper. Find
the area of the paper needed.​

Given:

length =80cm

breath=30cm

Height =40cm

Leatral surface area of cuboid = 2h (l+b)

=2 X 40 (80+30) = 80 X 110 = 8800 cm^{2}

Now area of front side = l X h

80x40 =3200 cm^{2}

And area of bottom = l X b

80 X 30 = 2400 cm^{2}

Total area to cover with paper = Leatral area of cubot+ area of bottom - area of front

=8800+2400-3200= 8000 cm^{2}
