Answer:

A is CALCIUM which forms B (it is CALCIUM HYDROXIDE) when reacts with water, which is used in whitewashing

B (CALCIUM HYDROXIDE) on heating forms an oxide (It is CALCIUM OXIDE) which on treatment with water gives back B (CALCIUM HYDROXIDE)

Upto now must got ::

What is Compound A ---- it is CALCIUM

What is Compound B ---- it is CALCIUM HYDROXIDE

What is Compound C ---- it is CALCIUM OXIDE

Reaction :

Calcium Hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) ------- heat ------- Calcium Oxide (CaO) + Water

And vice versa
