Given : Assertion: An angle is 14 more than its complementary angle, then angle is 52°

Reason: Two angles are said to be supplementary if their sum of measure of angles is 180°

To Find :

Correct option

Solution :

Two angles are complementary if their measures add up to 90°

angle = x   then complementary angle = 90°- x

An angle is 14 more than its complementary angle,

=> x = (90°- x) + 14

=> 2x = 104°

=> x = 52°

Hence Assertion is correct

Reason: Two angles are said to be supplementary if their sum of measure of angles is 180°

Reason is correct

Both assertion and reason are correct but reason is not the correct explanation of assertion
