according to question,

3x+4y=257.....1

and

4x+3y=324....... 2

multiplying 3 equation 2 and 4 in equation 1

therefore

eq.1=

12 x +16 y =1028

eq.2=

12x+9y=972

eq1-eq2

7y=56

y=8

therefore cost of one pen =rs 8

putting Y is equal to 8 in equation number 1

3x+4*8=257

3x+32=257

x=257-32/3

x=75

cost of one bag =rs 75
