In this question,
we need to :
i) find the LCM of the three timings.
ii) multiply the time limit given in question i.e. 132 minutes by 60 to make it in seconds
iii) divide the time obtained in the ii) step by the LCM obtained in i) step
Solution:
[FIRST STEP]
LCM of 48, 144 and 16 = 2*2*2*2 = 16
[SECOND STEP]
We know,
1 minute = 60 seconds
132 minutes = 132 * 60
= 7920 seconds
[THIRD STEP]
(PRODUCT obtained in i) step divided by LCM obtained in i) step.)
7920÷ 16 = 495
Therefore,
the bells will ring together for 495 times in 132 minutes.
