Calculate: (i) the total amount of GST paid
(ii) the total bill amount including GST paid by Mr. Tom.

(a)Medicines cost=1000+5/100(1000)

=1000+1/20(1000)

=1000+50=1050Rs

(b)Shoes cost=4000-25/100(4000)+18/100(4000)

=4000-1/4(4000)+9/50(4000)

=4000-1000+720

=4000-280

=3720Rs

(c)Bag cost=1200+12/100(1200)

=1200+3/25(1200)

=1200+144

=1344Rs

Now finding the answer,

(i)Total GST paid by Mr.Tom=50+720+144=770+144=914Rs

(ii)Total money paid by Mr.Tom including GST=1050+3720+1344=4770+1344=6114Rs
