Solution :

Given:

✏ Amount of charge = 12C

✏ Time interval = 4s

To Find:

✏ Current supplied by a cell

Concept:

✏ Current is defind as flow of charge in other words current is the ratio of amount of charge passed per unit time.

Formula:

✏ Formula of current in terms of charge and time is given by

 \star \:  \underline{ \boxed{ \bold{ \sf{ \pink{Current(I) =  \frac{Charge(q)}{Time(t)}}}}}} \:  \star

Calculation:

 \mapsto \sf \: Current(I) =  \frac{12}{4}  \\  \\  \mapsto \sf \:  \boxed{ \sf{ \large{ \blue{Current(I) = 3 \: A}}}} \:  \orange{ \clubsuit}

Additional information:

  • Current is scalar quantity.
  • Current is fundamental quantity.
  • SI unit of current is A (ampere).

 \mathtt{ \huge{ \fbox{Solution :)}}}

Given ,

Time (t) = 4 sec

Charge (q) = 12 C

We know that , the rate of unit charge is called current

 \large \mathtt{ \fbox{Current =  \frac{q}{t} }}

Thus ,

Current = 12/4

Current = 3 amp

Hence , the current is 3 amp
