Capacitors C1, C2, C3 connected in series:

Equivalent capacitance of the combination, Ceq is related to C1, C2, C3 as follows:

1/Ceq = 1/C1 + 1/C2 + 1/C3

Given, C1 = C2 = C3  = 9 pF

So, 1/Ceq = 1/9 + 1/9 + 1/9 = 3/9 = 1/3

Thus, Ceq = 3pF.

The capacitors are connected to 120 V.

Potential difference across each capacitor is equal to 1/3 rd of 120 V.

So, the potential difference across each capacitor is 40 V.
