Ratio of cost of coffee : toffee : chocolate is 15:21:35.

Given - Comparative costs

Find - Ratio of cost of coffee : toffee : chocolate.

Solution - Let the cost of chocolate, toffee and coffee be x, y and z.

As per the given question,

3x = 5y = 7z

Let the cost stated in question be a. So,

3x = 5y = 7z = a

So, cost of chocolate = a/3

Cost of toffee = a/5

Cost of coffee = a/7

Hence, the ratio is a/7:a/5:a/3

The ratio can be represented as 1/7:1/5:1/3.

Taking LCM, we get 105.

So, ratio =

 \frac{105}{7}: \frac{105}{5}  : \frac{105}{3}

Ratio = 15:21:35

Hence, the ratio is 15:21:35.
