Given:

The coefficient of real expansion of liquid is α=0.000182

The coefficient of linear expansion of vessel is β=0.000009

To find

The coefficient of apparent expansion of the liquid

Solution:

The formula for the coefficient of apparent expansion of the liquid is

α=γ+3β

Putting the above values

0.000182=γ+3×0.000009

γ= 12.133

So the coefficient of the apparent expansion of the liquid is 12.133
