Comparing the cell to a factory.

  • Main office - The nucleus is regarded as acts as the main office in a cell it controls all the systems inside a cell.
  • Office wall - Nuclear membrane which is the outer membrane enclosing the constituents and the cytoplasm of the cell.
  • The area surrounding the main office - Since the nucleus is the main office therefore nuclear membrane is regarded as the area surrounding the main office.
  • Production unit - Ribosomes are responsible for the production of protein from amino acids.
  • Supply channel - Endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for the transport of nutrients from one cell to another.
  • Recycling unit - Lysosomes are regarded as the digestive system of the cell.
  • Powerhouse - Mitochondria are regarded as the powerhouse of the cell its primary role is oxidative phosporylation.
  • The boundary wall of the factory is - Cell wall which surrounds the entire cell and provides protection to the cell.
  • Packaging unit - Lysosomes are responsible for transporting, modifying, and packaging of proteins and lipids into vesicles for delivering them to targeted destinations.
