3. Convert the following word equations into chemical equations and balance them:

1. Magnesium burns in oxygen to give a white powder of magnesium oxide.

2. Hydrogen combines with oxygen to form water.

3. Hydrochloric acid reacts with calcium carbonate to form

calcium chloride, water and carbon dioxide.

4. Sulphuric acid reacts with potassium hydroxide to form
